Seems like a pretty decent, fairly deep draft year.

Be interesting to see the testing results and hear the reports on performances from the Combine.

Some teams could help their rosters with smart drafting.

Argos sitting pretty with a whack of picks (at this point - wouldn't be surprised to see some deals though);  Riders looking pretty good with a couple of first rounders.  Bombers have a first rounder still Shocked - maybe they could trade it still though.

Plenty of teams have glaring needs at specific positions - due to weakness or off-season losses - some teams might think of addressing those needs via the draft; though i suppose the "thinking" could be "best player"or "best athlete" - whatever that means - instead.

I am anxious to hear what you think about the Argos signing Queen's QB Danny Brannagan today, OV.

Can't possibly be true. I have it on very good authority that old boy CFL thinkers like Rita and Barker would never ever remotely consider such a move. Maybe Rita thinks he's from Queens, NY. That's the only plausible reason.

Apparently there is talk that teams will be allowed to have an exemption so they can bring in a non-import QB into training camp (but just for training camp).

Hey - Brannagan is your boy Hambone - guy who really "impressed" you in all that CIS ball watchin' you do - like the past Vanier Wink

Maybe Brannagan is a good slot or safety or fullback (like Bertrand) "project" and that's what Barker wuz thinkin'?  The Riders did draft Taele Orban - in a nice -  feel good PR move to give the local kid a shot at QB - a couple of seasons back.  So don't try to tell me the good ole boys don't care about dem Canadian QB types - that's just nonsense - when one is "good enough", he'll get to play in the CFL - and not a minute sooner - or so i have read.
